Who are we ?

After their training at the circus schools Carampa (Madrid) and Arc en Cirque (Chambéry), Ismael Fernandez and Sonja Zantedeschi settled in France.

In 2019, they founded the circus company Sonel and began creating their first show: Cadie à Cadie, blending their circus discipline—hand to hand—with technology and magic.

They have collaborated with the companies “Du Fil à Retordre,” “Ino Kollektiv,” and “Le Théâtre de la Toupine.”

They also worked with the company “Les Hommes de Mains,” performing as artists in the creation TAF.

SONJA ZANTEDESCHI

She is Italian, lives in France, but suffers from nostalgia.

Having studied in Spain and France, she reflects on the difficulty of learning foreign languages.

In her free time, she enjoys walking in nature—especially in the mountains—and setting up camera traps.

She loves watching the Olympic Games on television and prefers beaches with rocks.

She is known for falling asleep at 11 p.m. under any circumstances.

She supports the theory of “the soul of the flyer”: either you’re born with it, or you’ll never have it. Her flyer, Ismael, has it.

ISMAEL FERNÁNDEZ

Spanish, he is definitely a city boy.

He lives in Chambéry, a small town in the French mountains, where he learned to recognize the robin.

It’s very rare to see him angry.

If he’s not working, you’ll probably find him in front of the computer: he’s a true electronics and tech geek. He loves designing and drawing parts for 3D printing.

He struggles to pronounce the word “massage” in French, and above all, he loves warming up with a playlist of summer hits.

Thanks to his flyer Sonja, he has learned to recognize quality ice cream.
